Wetfix® BE WMA trial

The use of (WMA) technologies continues to gain popularity in Europe, driven by sustainability goals, emission reduction, and improved workability. Wetfix® BE, developed by Nouryon, is an adhesion promoter and compaction aid suitable for both warm and hot mix applications. Thanks to its active and passive adhesion properties, it ensures excellent interaction between binder and aggregate, even at lower mixing temperatures, and also offers benefits in terms of compaction and long asphalt life.

Vialit LT-130 is 100% BIO-BASED

Properties:
VIALIT-LT130® improves the coating of the stone aggregate and ensures a homogeneous asphalt mixture even at lower mixing temperatures.

The performance of the additive is maintained even after prolonged storage in hot bitumen. Asphalt mixtures remain workable at lower temperatures and are easier to compact. This makes it possible to pave in cooler weather conditions, cover longer transport distances, and work faster.

The product contains no volatile components; therefore, odor development at higher mixing temperatures is not affected. VIALIT-LT130® ensures safe handling in the mixing plant, as it contains no hazardous substances. Dosage is flexible and can take place in the bitumen tank or directly in the bitumen line or weighing installation, the bitumen weighing vessel.

Operating principle of Vialit LT-130®
Vialit-LT130® works in two ways. It targets the soft fraction of the bitumen, the so-called maltenes/resin phase, thereby reducing the viscosity of the bitumen. In addition, it disperses the larger solid components in the bitumen, the asphaltenes. This action provides a lubricating effect.
